I want to know about the famous antibiotics used in medical industry,just the names are enough.Which is the big hitter among them.
I thought that there is no drug existing against virus,but when I got infected with chicken pox,doctor prescribed one(Vireses,made in Jordan).How much efficient is drugs against viruses.

Antiviral Drugs:
Most antiviral drugs are specific to only one kind of virus. (With the exception of Interferon). Actually, most antiviral drugs were designed to combat HIV. They are FAR less effective then antibiotics. Any good antibiotic can cure dozens of different bacterial diseases. Antiviral drugs only are effective against ONE or maybe two viruses and none can cure anybody that didn’t have a god chance of recovering on their own. They mostly slow the progress of diseases no one ever gets over or shave a day or two off diseases nearly everyone gets over.
Examples: Tamiflu, AZT, Interferon, Valtrex, acyclovir, Abreva, Rhinocourt
