Avast! Questions Please Help?

   Yeah Perform scan once in a week.
   Yeah A pop window will be shown if you contain virus in your system.
   If you scan then you can be out of virus attacks.
   If your antivirus is not helping you to get rid of viruses then unistall it and download some other best antiviruses like Comodo,AVG etc

   You can configure it to scan and update when you boot your computer….once you’ve done all your settings, it will just do it’s thing. It will warn you if it finds something and give you options about what to do. It may suggest you run suspect programs in the “Sandbox”…which is supposed to be safe.
   Avast is one of the better rated A/V programs, but no one program can block 100% of the constantly growing list of viruses. You should do a thorough scan at least once a week….

   Avast is very good at blocking viruses in it’s database. That’s the thing with all AV’s, they block what’s in the database. I also suggest you have MBAM, and run regular scans with it, it’s free:http://www.techspot.com/downloads/4716-m…
   MBAM is the best anti-malware program on the market, and if Avast found several threats, MBAM will probably find more.

   It wouldn’t hurt to do a scan every week. A screen will pop up to tell you if you’re going to a site that has viruses, and Avast! will stop navigation to that site. While, having antivirus does make it safer, there is still a chance that your computer can catch a virus, so you should still be careful.

   Do scan regularly so your out of threats.In case if your antivirus detects any virus it will give the necessary information about it to you,and what action should be performed on it.
