Can You Help With A Computer Problem I Have?

By admin Posted in: Backup Software

About every 20 minutes, a blues screen keeps appearing on my computer(desktop).
This is the picture of what it looks like.

I don’t know what to do when this pops up. Also, recently this rogue software called Security Tool just popped up on my computer and I don’t know how to get rid of it. How do I get rid of it for free?
If you can help, that would be great. Thanks for answering.

Without looking at the web URL you posted, I’d say your computer has a virus. I would try this: http://www.techjaws.com/how-to-remove-se…

go to “download.com” and download “ad-aware” and “malwarebytes”.
when you have them downloaded, open each one at a time and click on “update” and let them update.
once they have updated, restart your computer. as it begins to restart, tap the “F8″ key repeatedly. on the screen that appears, scroll (with arrow key) to “safe mode”. click on “safe mode” this will start your computer in safe mode. run “ad-aware” and follow prompts and then run “malwarebytes”. this should remove the security tool and any other malware. when this is finished, restart again.
if this doesn;t seem to fix it, this link will take you to a good place to find help. click on the “forums” button and post a question. they answer pretty quickly.http://www.computerhope.com/cgi-bin/syst…
these are things that seem to protect my computer:
_ a good antivirus program (i use avg)
_ keep your firewall turned on
_ don’t go to sites or click on links that are questionable
    _ use “firefox” web browser
    _ firefox add-ons
    _wot (web of trust)
    _noscript
    _ better privacy
    _ ghostery
    _ https-everywhere
    you can get firefox here:http://download.cnet.com/windows/
you can get the firefox aded-ons here:https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox…
it’s a good idea to use a separate limited account to do all your web browsing and use a dedicated administrator account only for administrator stuff ( downloading software, making system changes, etc.)
before installing anything you download, rightclick it, choose “open containing folder”, scroll to the appropriate folder, right click it and choose “scan with…(your antivirus,ad-aware, malwarebytes)
i’m no expert but these seem to keep me secure
    good luck.
