Need Help With My Minecraft Multiplayer Server.?

Hey everybody! So I’ve downloaded the full version mincecraft server from minecraft.net, its the .exe version. I’ve got everything set up fine, i can enter, create masses of TNT, fly around, the whole nine yards. But my friends can’t seem to reach my server.
But the other day, my friend came over, so we tried figuring out how to set up a working multiplayer server. We found out, that if i turn off my home firewall(only doing this while playing minecraft), he could join my server. But my other friend, located in his house roughly a mile away, still cannot join. So he came over to my house and then he could join no problem. So it seems that they have to be in range of my router to access it?
So my question is, how to i allow people to join my server even if they aren’t at my house? I’ve port forwarded my router or server or whichever one it is, and i know how to do it, so re-doing it isn’t a problem. Though maybe i did it wrong? I’ve also DL’d hamachi, which didn’t work well for me. I’d prefer not to use hamachi, but if i must, i guess i will. Though some people have told me that i don’t need hamachi, and i just need to forward my port correctly. So if anyone has an answer, or can link me a tutorial on how to set a multiplayer server up, please let me know.Any and all help is appreciated, thanks!

i have a 96 camaro 3.8. earlier today i was driving and thought it would be a good idea to let the ac run for a little while. while it was quick to change from heat to ambient cold air, the air never really got colder than ambient temperature.
when i got home i opened the hood and saw that the wheel thing on the end of the compressor (not the normal drive wheel, the end “clutch”thing) was spinning when the ac was on, and was not spinning when the ac was off, just as it should.
when i turned the engine off, i found that the same wheel on the end of the compressor was pretty easy to twist. when i twisted the wheel by hand i could hear a faint gurgling noise coming from around where i imagine the heater core is, or something around that area.
when i ran the car with its hood open (at the warmed-up low idle, about 650-700rpm), with the ac on and the wheel on the compressor spinning, after about a minute i cound not really feel any change in the temperature in the silver cylinder thats in the ac lines between the compressor and the inside of the vehicle (evap. canister?). it not really get hotter or colder.
what do you think is wrong? i dont know when the old guy i bought it from had last run the ac…
please please please be able to tell me that it is just becasue the ac has sat unused for a while,and it just needs to run for a while at freeway speeds with the ac on or something like that… or maybe the car takes the intake air temp and only activates the ac when the ambient air is warm (it was 64 in the direct sun when i drove it today)?
i checked the lines as much as i could see inside the engine bay, and there is no evidence of a leak at any of the connectors. i obviously cant see anything past the firewall, bu there was no sitcky residue or anything on any of the connectors in the engine bay. i also took off the cover of the valve thats rght before the upper connection to the air conditioning radiator (i know its called something else) and, using the head of a nail and a file, i put the head of the nail on the tio of the valve an just barely tapped the end of the nail until i could hear an extremely quick puff of air. im sreious it was many many times shorter than the puff of air you get when you take a tire pump off a tire valve… when i finally did release a tiny puff of gas, i sounded like there was a lot of pressure behind it, more than a tire has. so there is in fact freon in the system.
i really dont want to have an ac problem hunt…

If I have to read one more anti virus review I think my head is going to explode. This is what i am considering. For Anti virus microsoft essentials, for malware removal malware-bytes free edition and for a firewall comodo. Would this setup be sufficient for protecting my computer.

Xbox Live Down For Verizon Cali Users?

so suddenly friday night my connection to xbox live was cut off and has not worked since. I was gaming and it just cut out on me & has not worked since.
whats even weirder is that I can’t even get on the xbox WEBSITE, it’s as if my internet can’t connect to xbox in any way.
I later found out through a friend that on the xbox website the status had a california alert for verizon Fios customers.
I do NOT have FIOS however. I have DSL.
So I’ve been calling verizon, and I’ve been doing everything the xbox support tells me (i’ve been using a friend to get to the support page because my internet cannot get to it)
i’ve tried everything, i’ve forwarded ports, i’ve opened my firewall, i don’t know what else to do. Is this a verizon issue? and is anyone else having this?
I just want my internet to work & my xbox to work

I Seem To Be On Here A Lot Lately For My Computer…?

So heres whats wrong this time.
I had a virus a while ago so i scanned with TDSSkiller and Malwarebytes.
My system is now virus free according to these AV’s.
My internet will no longer connect to the internet because when I try to open my wireless config menu, it says “Windows must start the ICS before connecting to the internet. Start ICS now?” ICS=Internet connection service. So i hit Ok and it tried for a few seconds then presented an error reading “Windows was unable to start the ICS” Heres what I have tried to do to fix this.
Going to control panel and then firewall, but the ICS wasnt started so it wouldnt open.
Going to admin tools > services > starting ICS manually. Didnt work either.
Using CMD and typing in “netsh winsock reset” and reset computer and tried everything again.
still didnt work.
Why is my ICS persistently shutting itself off? How can i fix this?
Edit: This all started happening AFTER i removed the viruses from my computer using MBAM.

Suddenly It Cannot See My Port? Please Help?

Well just now i was on (CanYouSeeMe.ORG) And was testing out my 43594 port to see if it works for future stuff. It couldnt find me. So i pinged my host name, Lost 100% of the packets. So i went to my firewall and added the 43594 port (That was already Allowed) And re allowed it. It still cannot see me, I’ve also have checked my routers portfoward. Its portfowarded to my computer, and i’ve check my cmd to see if my computers ip has changed. Please help, i’ve done all i know.

Does A Blown Head Gasket Or Cracked Head Make The Motor Shake A Little Bit More Detailed?

Ok so i crank the motor and all that so when i look at the exhaust manifold towards the firewall at the back of the motor. It leaks at the exhaust manifold a white milky color as if i have a blown head gasket or cracked head? but the motor as a little bit of a shake to it it was real bad but then i turned the engine off waited for a while and crank it again it wasn’t as bad?

I typed my IP address into my browser so I could change some settings to try and set my NAT type to Open for my PS3…. on the Belikin site I went to Utilities.. settings.. and set something to Off “I think it was pertaining to firewall? a message came up that “in most cases you would not want this off”) well NOW MY INTERNET IS COMPLETELY DOWN. How do I fix this? HELP
