Netgear Router Problem?

Alright so basically I got a Netgear router recently. I’ve been using it to connect to xbox live but recently I’ve been getting constantly disconnected, that is if I can even connect at all. My iPod also cannot connect to the router for more than 5 minutes at a time, after which it disconnects. The only thing that seems to work is my Windows 7 PC, which is connected to the router via a network cable. My router security is set to WPA2-PSK [AES] but I’m not sure if that’s the problem.
Thanks to anyone who can help, since I haven’t a clue why it keeps doing this.
Also, I’ve tried resetting the router, which doesn’t work half the time anyway.

Quick Tor Question About Connecting?

I’m attempting to launch the Tor browser at my school however I come across a problem on connecting, not letting me open the browser. I start Tor normally and have “My firewall….. Certain Ports” checked (ports 80, 443, 9001, and 9030) and also I have “My ISP blocks…. Tor network” checked. But, being new to Tor I just clicked “find bridges” or whatever it says and the process was pretty random. Anyway, when I attempt to start Tor it gets me up to “Establishing an encrypted directory” and won’t progress from there. One time it went up past that and got itself stuck on “Obtaining relay information” I think it says.
I’m new to Tor, and all of this Internet security jazz but I really want to learn, I’ve read some stuff on Tor’s page and I can comprehend some of it but I’d like some help in more layman terms (Tor’s site is pretty simple but “official guides/documents/manuals” I’ve always had a much, much harder time with.Probably a psychological thing.) So can I get a bit of help please? Much appreciated!

Why Does My Subnet Rules Keep Changing In My Security Software?

I’m not changing anything but when I wake my computer up from sleeping, I get a message that the security subnet rules have changed…sometimes I get the message twice. Once before it connects and again after I’m connected.
And by not connected and connected I mean..connected as in I can actually browse the internet without getting an error message. Sometimes my network says I’m connected but I can’t get internet…the little monitors have a yellow circle going around them as it’s trying to establish a connection. That would be my “not connected” status.

Netbooks Wifi Netgear Router Help?

i have had a netbook for a month and internet worked perfet well my mom got one today and tried connecting to our network wifi and it said settings saved on this computer does not meet the requirements for the router or something close to that the security was WEP well i changed it to WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES] |WPA2-PSK [AES] and also WPA-PSK [TKIP] and now it says the requirement thing on my netbook……….. we both have windows 7 starter and our router is a netgear WNDR3300 please help

Germany And Sweden, Help Me?

I’m going to be studying in Europe after High school. I wanting to know which country is better, Germany or Sweden ? I love both of them but its hard choosing one of them.
I really love Sweden because of the small population, but its a large European country. Sweden seems to have better Forests and Wildlife. Also Stockholm is beautiful. I really like Swedish History and Swedish culture, I think its just a really nice country. One thing I dont like about Sweden is the very Conservative drug laws. Marijuana and other soft drugs are viewed just the same as crack. But its okay to drink intill you puke.
Also I really love Germany, because of its relaxed laws when it comes to Marijuana and Prostitution.(I myself aren’t into Prostitutes, but I like countries with freedom) Also Germany has the Autobahns where they do not have speed limits (Most of the Autobahn) I know for sure German beer is better then Swedish beer.
I plan of studying Network Security, so I can work for a company or the government. I’m a laid back guy that loves forests and lakes. Sometimes I enjoy Marijuana, I would like good health care and a fair tax system. Any help choosing between them ?

[(10 Points)] Mobile Ad Hoc Network Creator?

Does anyone know of a portable device (battery power is a must) that is capable of simply creating an ad hoc network? It doesn’t need to supply an actual Internet connection, so things like Ethernet ports or 3G connections aren’t necessary.
The purpose is simply to connect two devices that are incapable of creating Wifi networks.
My guess would be something along the lines of a cheap, battery=powered router (if those exist). Or better yet, does anyone know how configurable a Mifi is? Can you use it to create a network even if you do NOT have a contract? And can you name the network and set choose security settings? I’m just looking for some good information on them really, Amazon has refurbished MiFis for $30.
Ten points will go to the person who either gives me the cheapest device that (1) fits all requirements (no contract, password-protected) and (2) isn’t a complete piece of crap OR gives me the info I want on the MiFis.

Playstation 3 Connection Issues!?

My PlayStation has worked fine for the 3 years I have owned it, but since today I have not been able to connect to the server of any game. The weird thing is that it is connected to the PlayStation Network and I even ran a connection test which says there are no problems.
My Dad also updated my home computer’s internet security today, this is the computer that the Wi-fi router and broadband my Ps3 uses are connected to, could this be part of the problem?
