You are so old school. Tv, videogames, internet, radio, etc. will not brainwash your child. They aren’t retarded. Your kid is going to do whatever they want to do at the end of the day and you can’t do anything about it anyways.

Run MSE to clean it up first, probably a java related bug. Then use the google chrome browser or firefox only, it seems to me that Google Chrome is the safest browser, I don’t like it the best, but I think its the best to use if going to suspect sites. I use FF for everything else.

Uninstall Norton, either with the ‘uninstall application included, the Norton Uninstaller… https://www-secure.symantec.com/norton-s…
or with Revo Uninstaller.http://download.cnet.com/Revo-Uninstalle…
Re-start and install the Anti-Virus of your choice and do a full scan in Safe Mode with Networking*.
Then, download, (if you can’t get on-line, have a friend download and copy to disc/flash for transfer) install, update and then in SAFE MODE* run full scans with these programs…

**Note: Malwarebytes should be run in ‘Normal Mode’ unless that isn’t possible!

every few days or so a virus will try to fool me that somethings wrong with my computer and mess with my programs – thats not a virus, thats malware, malware is not classed as a virus.
Norton Security Suite – most people run malwarebytes along side Norton because Norton is known to miss on some forms of malware.

TDSSkiller does not remove Vista Internet Security 2012 only the rootkit.

2. You want a score of 100% from free Secunia Personal Software Inspector
3. block third party cookies.
4. do a free online scan:http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/
(this is to see if Norton has missed anything)
5. look at getting real time protection from malware (if you pay for malwarebytes you get real time protection)

I monitor everything that child’s eyes might see. The remotes are too complicated for them right now so we don’t have to worry about that yet.
There are no video games in our house. Cartoons are limited to Saturday morning and we stream them from the internet so he watches most of the old toons that I watched in the early 90′s.
