I am hearing so many conflicting stories about the IRS and this Delay.
I’m hearing that there are software problems, thats affecting Everyone,
I’m hearing that there was a select group of people who filed too early and only They would be delayed,
and I’m also hearing that the Delays are over with and they are running smooth.
I did my taxes on the 31st, and the IRS Accepted my return literally 6 minutes after TurboTax sent it, and According to the Refund Cycle Chart, the deposit should be sent by the 8th, but who knows with all this confusion??
Bottom line:

Due to technical difficulties with their system the irs had issues when tax season started on 1/17. According to the irs website about 70% of those who filed between the 17th and the 24th will have a 7-10 day delay in getting their refunds. They are trying to catch up though and sending out refunds daily. If you were accepted on the 31st you should get your refund on time, according to the refund cycle chart. Check with the Wheres My Refund site to see your estimated date.
Nobody really knows for sure. I admit I’m guilty of perpetuating the rumors about computer systems being overloaded and rabid monkeys eating people’s returns (give or take). The IRS isn’t talking and everyone is guessing. All we know for sure is that there are a lot of people way overdue for refunds.

Basically it says quit whining and wait for your refund because we’re not going to give you any useful information about what is going on… blah blah blah.
Who really knows but this why I never file early.!! i filed on the 25 after 11:00am so the 26 I guess. Got a Processing date of Feb. 14.. but on the IRS chart its suppose to be the 8th. So well see.

Nope no one knows for sure! Have you checked IRS website to see what day it is showing now?
