Free Antivirus Program?

By admin Posted in: AntiVirus

I know it won’t be all that good, but I remember hearing about a free antivirus program, it’s like 3 letters and an Acronym. It’s downloadable. What’s it called, and where can I get it?
Thanks. :D

The one you’re thinking about is AVG! Here are some others that I think you should take a look at.
1.Microsoft security essential ( free for up to 15 computers in one setting)
    2.AVG which you now know
    3.AVAST antivirus
    4.Avira antivir
You can find all of them here, http://www.download.com

The most known 3-letter name in antivirus software is AVG. However, when I used it, it slowed down my computer quite a bit. Here is a good article about choosing antivirus software for 2012 – http://www.auslogics.com/en/articles/wha…
    Hope this helps. Good luck!

If you want free then I recommend Avast , superantispyware and Malwarebytes. coupled with Comodo firewall They are all free for personal use . It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly.
