Hacked In Runescape Help?

   I’ll just add to Maquis answer then. Has anyone ELSE been on your computer? Is it possible they went somewhere that got a keylogger downloaded onto it? Or have you tried using a public computer like at a school or library at some point? Those could be infected as well.
   I also have to point out that Norton & whatever anti spywear you have has only limited effectiveness. In order for them to defend your computer against a threat they have to be able to identify it ( thus why their databases are continually updated ). If a keylogger/virus is new or hasn’t been spread around much the major companies won’t have identified it yet to put it in their database thus leaving a window open for an attack. A scammer writing up a keylogging program for R.S. & only spreading it to a few computers could easily slip under their radar.

   Most players are “hacked” because they downloaded a keylogger or they gave their password and pin to the hacker. Usually it’s when they download bots with keyloggers embedded in them or phony cheats like gold generators, pin generators, DDoS attackers, etc.
   Others are fooled with phish sites. These are websites that have been set up to look identical to the Runescape site. Scammers will contact you and tell you stuff like “you’ve been chosen to be a mod. Just fill out our application at http://www.phishersRUs.com“. or “Hey! wanna join our clan. Post on our clan thread at http://www.phishersRus.com” or “I’m giving away 100 party hats and 10 billion in gold!!!!! Just enter our raffle at http://www.phishersRUs.com“.
   Of course these website addresses aren’t really called PhishersRUs.com. They’re much closer to Runescape.com. Usually something like “services.Runescape.comm.tk” that is designed to fool the average player.
   If neither of those scenarios sound familiar to you then keep digging and try to determine how you were hacked. Until you know the answer, you’re likely to have the account stolen again.
   Some other common possibilities…..
   - you gave your password to a friend or brother and they ripped you off.
   - the RS account wasn’t originally yours, but one given to you. If so the original owner can reclaim it.

   are you serious dud people hack all the time anyone even me can hack runescape if i had the time it could most likely be a java client that knows your password and just tried to piss you off or some guy was spying on your computer using a program that can see everything you put in and type stole your password and hacked you im sorry buddy

   Do any of your friends play runescape? One of your friends might have answered your recovery questions correctly.

   Report them if you know them……or you can stop playing….having nprton protects your computer software ….not a game made in 2004…no offence i still play runescape ..but i moved to WoW
