How Can I Get My Scanner To Work Again?

We use a Lexmark2480 scanner/printer which worked OK until soon after installing free-to-use SUPERAntiSpyware. The spyware fairly regularly found some glitches which we quarantined (and removed?), but then one day the scanner stopped working and now whenever we turn on the computer a panel appears saying ‘Error- IM32FAX.DIL Not Found!’. We assume this is the missing component to operate the scanner, and thought of releasing some of the quarantined items that the spyware found to see if that resolved the problem. However if we proceed a warning comes up saying its risky to re-introduce quarantined things and it may damage the computer. So we chickened out of that option. But what should we do -try reintroducing the quarantined things? Anyone know? The scanner hasnt worked since but the printer part is fine.
