I Lost My Fishing Liscence, And I Got A Citation Today For Not Having It??? Help?

The game officer called up the office and said that my name wasnt in the database for having one this year. I bought it at walmart about 2 months ago.
I thought it was at home, but i still cant find it, and they want me to bring a copy of my fishing liscence up to the jail with the citation if i want the citation removed. Where can i go or what can i do to show that i actually purchased it?!?!?!
I seen the guy write my name etc.. down in the book, thats the only proof i know if its not in the system, the idiot probably typed in my name wrong, but i know i also gave him my social security #

    Well anybody that loses their license and then goes fishing without getting it replaced first is the dummy, you should have also gotten a copy of the license when you bought it and kept that in another place where you would not have lost it. I suggest you go to the walmart you bought it at and see if they still have the book they sold your license out of and get a copy of that. With out that your screwed because they have heard your story a thousand times before… “yes offishure I got my permit here somewheres just let me clear my gun outta the tackle box first wanna beer whilst I look? dang it ain’t there, but here is a $100 dollar bill I didn’t know I had whadda ya mean bribe?

    Most states have a computerized system. They can just key in your ID numbers and it will show when and where you bought them at. If you actually bought the license it will show it. Walmart should be able to pull it up on their computers and give you a copy of it for a slight charge, In my state it only cost $2 to have this done.

    Tsk… tsk… tsk… just admit it… to the warden, the courthouse, and yourself… you were fishing without a license ’cause you figured you wouldn’t get caught.
    And you did.
    It will make it so much easier on you and every one else.
    IF YOU HAD bought a fishing license within the past two months, when the warden ran your ID or driver’s license number, it sure as hell would have come up in his computer database. But either way, you got caught without a license.

    Lesson learned bud. You’re simply screwed if you have no proof of ever having one, like mentioned.
