I Think Ive Been Hacked / Spied On ?

I think that I have been hacked or that my key-strokes are being logged. I have a few questions so please bear with me.
1) If i disconnect from internet can the hacker still see what I’m doing or log my key-strokes?
2) Will reformatting remove all spyware and especially the hacker?
3) Should i back up files when reformatting or will that expose me to placing the keylogger back on my computer and some how gain the hacker access again ?
4) Lastly can the hacker see my ip address and can he access my computer again once i reformat through my ip address ?

    Ok, depending on the keylogger, if you disconnect from the internet it may temporarily stop the hacker seeing what your doing but as soon as you reconnect everything that happened whilst you were offline may be sent.
    Reformatting will remove all spyware BUT if you back-up your files you may back-up the file that the virus/keylogger was sent it – thus when you reinstall it your back to square one. The hacker most probably can see your IP but cant access your computer with this alone, so it doesnt really matter to much.
    Before going down the reformatting path I’d recommend using some sort of anti-keylogger software, especially if your anti-virus cant pick anything up. I’d recommend PrivacyKeyboard or Zemana, both are very good.
