Mathematics (probability) Question – 2?

By admin Posted in: Database Software

One institution will give an examination to several students in a specific country. This institution has 1,000,000 questions in its database. But the exam will consist only 120 questions. How many different exams each having 120 questions can be created from the pool of 1,000,000 questions?

    That would be fac(1,000,000)/fac(120), where fac(n) = 1*2*3*…*(n-1)*n.
As fac is extremely fast growing, you cant really calculate fac(1,000,000) is around 10^5565709

    1000000 C 120
    n!/(k!(n-k)!)
    1000000!/(120!(1000000-120)!)
    1000000!/(120!*999880!)
