How is it with those things? I think i can only have 1 firewall running, but what about antivirus, realtime protection and spyware cleaners etc?
Atm i got windows firewall and avg free. I would like a better once since my pc is infected and AVG cant solve it.
Im looking into Avast antivirus+antispyware please advise

Any of the top anti-programs will to a good job. AVG free is not one of them. Many users have multiple programs running for protection. Users who know what they are doing use one. That’s all that’s needed, one with good real time protection. If you feel the need a backup scanner like Malwarebytes anti-malware. In the last three years, I’ve never need my back up scanner and it’s never found anything. It’s to the point where I only update and never run it.
If you want free, Avira, Avast are your best picks. Either one will do a good job. Microsoft Security does a fair job, but why have fair, when two of your picks do a good job.
Paid programs Norton, Kaspersky. You are not going to get better than either of those programs.
There are a few I can recommend for you:
Norton – is good but I find it takes allot of system resources and makes my system run slow. Also I find trying to un-install it is a nightmare and it sometimes interferes with installing a new security package.
McAfee – I have never liked due to the amount of resource it seems to take up and it seems to conflict with allot of programs I have installed. In the end whenever I try McAfee I always un-install it because I do not like it.
Kapersky – Some people like it and others loathe it. For me I am middle of the road about it because it does slow your system down but it is suppose to be good.
Panda – I have used before and will not use again. The times I have used it I have found that it has missed viruses.
Zone Alarm – I feel addresses the issues that Kapersky, Norton, and McAfee has about conflicts and slow system. It seems to be a bit faster on start up when loading and it seems to do a good job. However a few years ago I used Zone Alarm and it conflicted with my ISP where by it prevented my from logging onto the Internet. Since then I have tried their free trials before buying but I have not been able to get confident about using it again.
Bit Defender – From my experience is very good but I find it a bit pricey for me.
The only one I would be cautious about using is Panda but any other one is fine. Also if you are running a firewall then you need to turn off Windows firewall as it may conflict with it. Not to worry about turning off the Windows firewall as it is meant to be a minimal firewall for people who choose not to use one.
Just 1 real-time AV. More than that, and they could conflict causing problems for your PC (crashes, slowdowns, etc)
Avast is a good free one. Runs light too.
You can also look at Avira, although it can be prone to false positives and is just an AV.
And even though people love to bash Microsoft, Microsoft Security Essentials has gotten good reviews. It has anti-spyware as well.
You can also download the free versions of Malwarebyte’s Anti Malware and SuperAntiSpyWare.
Neither runs full time. You just fire them up occasionally for a scan of your system, or individual folders (your download folder for example).
Both are also highly rated. I use both to clean machines.
If you still have questions, you can check out Wilders Security Forums. They live for testing security software, and are very helpful.
One last thing. Don’t get caught up in flame wars re: “my AV is better than yours”. A few percentage points in detection won’t make a real difference, and these percentages change from month to month or with new versions of AV programs. Just pick a reputable one (like Avast) and use common sense on the internet (watch what you download, stay away from warez and porn sites, use strong passwords, etc) and you’ll be fine. And understand that you’ll need to test the AV on your system. Just because someone says it works great for them, doesn’t mean it will for you. Every system is different, and you may have conflicts someone else doesn’t (drivers).
Avast with Comodo Firewall is excellent or you could go with Comodo Internet Security there Anti virus and there firewall in one package http://www.comodo.com/home/internet-secu…
