I ran spyware, malware, antivirus, registry scans on my computer and got rid of any existing problems. I also defraged my hard drives and disk cleanup, but my computer is still running slow. I am running Windows XP with 14.5GB//134 GB on my C drive. What’s wrong with my computer?

what is the speed of your processor?
Start Task Manager (right click on Task Bar) and check on what processes are running.
Also you may not have enough RAM. Task Manager will also tell you how much RAM is being used.
Windows 7 recommends less infection,faster,stable and reliable
I never heard any of those Scanners before, but get like Trend Micro Anti-Virus Protection or Norton Anti-Virus. Something normal that you see. I go to Target and bought my Trend Micro, and it deletes cookies and viruses automatically. You might want to check your applications and delete the ones who don’t need or use. I have a Windows Vista and it usually works fine. Make sure you don’t download a lot of applications and stuff. Try clearing your Internet history. Hope it works.
