I have a new laptop with windows 7 on it and somehow something called my security shield is on it and is continuing to pop up telling me i have viruses and trojans.
I have read previous ‘answers’ on here and tried to download a few spyware products and nothing is working. It seems to have disabled my mcafee software and everything is running so slow!
Plz help me and make it in easy to read terms as I am a little computer illeterate!!

If thats a new laptop talk to you dealer. Also check on http://www.avg.com for a Windows 7 anti-virus package, try the free one to begin with, if convinced go for a upgraded version. Ive been using the free version since few years and its really good enough.
You should firstly disable the virus by launching safe mode with networking (reboot, then start hitting F8 as soon as pc turns on) and then stopping its processes:http://www.2-viruses.com/remove-security…
Now you should try running your updated anti-spyware to remove the other files of virus. If it fails, download anti-spyware (legitimate one) to another clean computer, update and drag and drop into the Flash drive (USB key or other), try scanning from it.
