When I try to drag the avast!.app to the trash folder, I receive the following error message: “The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -8072).” Your help is greatly appreciated.

What are you doing putting inferior software near a MAC.
mac have a package for the possibility of viruses and it will only work with that.
if you can afford to buy a MAC in the first place you should be able to use there software and that is there point of view and i would agree. you simply can’t a afford to be putting inferior software such a high quality system.
