I just bought a new mac book pro os x lion today. what if any anti virus should i install. i have used norton internet security on my asus pc. norton did work fine but do i need a full internet security suite or can i get away with just a anti virus suite. i do not mind spending money for a good security program so if you have any suggestions i would be thankful for your help and advise. thanks

My old computer of 4 years died the other day. I have a genuine copy of Windows 7 Home Premium that I used on the old computer. I bought Windows 7 like a year ago at Walmart, and it has never had any issue with registering.
I got the new computer today (It’s an HP Pavilion P2-1013W). After following through the basic setup whenever you turn on any new computer (I did not register or enter any windows keys during this process), I restarted it with my own Windows 7 Home Premium dvd in the drive. I selected a Custom install, I formatted/deleted the recovery partition and some other second partion that the manufacturer had separated from the main C:\ drive. I was then left with just one, which was the C:\ drive. I installed a clean copy of windows from my legit dvd copy that I have registered many times with the key (when a need to reformat was imminent on my past computer due to spyware or whatever). Everything worked just fine for a while and my screen looked normal on the new computer after the clean install. Then the computer had no internet access, but my 2Wire DSL modem and also my router were connecting just fine. I ran the windows troubleshooting, which said that the network adapter needed a driver. I looked at my motherboard and searched for it online, and found that driver.
Now I just have this one issue:
I have internet access and the network adapter driver installed just fine, but now my screen has that annoying “Windows 7 Build 7600 This copy of windows is not genuine” message at the bottom right corner of my screen on the desktop. There is no doubt in my mind that my copy of windows is genuine, so how do I fix this? Do I need to flash the BIOS or did I miss something that needs to be cleared in regards to hardware? The computer had no issue with the installation at first. The recovery drives are gone, so it’s not pulling from those. What’s causing this?
Note that this computer came with Windows 7 Home Premium – but it was a 64-bit version and I basically just did a reformat and clean install with my 32-bit version instead (I have both the 32-bit and 64-bit dvd that came together when I bought Windows 7).

I initially had a pc that ran pes 2011 so well on high settings, not a jitter any time.
Specs: Intel Dual Core 2.8 GHz, 820 MHz,Intel D101ggc (mobo), 1GB DDR1 RAM, 8400GS (512MB).
Suddenly one of my RAM slot collapsed and I had to replace my motherboard. I now have ASUS P5g41t-l-mx (mobo), 4GB DDR3. Same procesor and graphix card.
I am able to run the game on high settings but the game gets lower when the ball gets near the box. As a result the entire charm is lost. Hope you understand!
I tried the following:
1. Installed (windows 7- 32 bit then 64 bit)–same result
2. Installed (windows XP 64 bit) now back to XP Pro 32 bit.-same result
3. Have AVIRA Antirus installed.
4. Checked for spyware and malware.
5. Cleaned registry.
6. Updated graphics and hardware drivers.
7. Applied a new layer of thermal paste and the CPU is well withing limits.
8. Housed a new SMPS
9. .Installed SP3 on my system.
10. DirectX 9.0c (which pes 2011 recommends).
I am not able to run a free flowing pes like before. Surprising that even the fast forward option isn’t working. The game shows the 2x speed thingy, but plays in the same speed. Simply Frustrating. Kindly suggest me if I have to do something else to get it right back on track!

I want to find out:
1) Can I file my federal taxes online with software and 1040a or EZ form?
2) Can I file my state taxes online with software, separately for both AZ and MI? If not how is that going to work?
3) Since I bought a house with my girlfriend, how does she file?
4) Are there any special credits for buying a house in 2011?

I don’t think I need to itemize. I’ve provided all details I can think of, no other expenses, no other strange circumstances, no child support, non-military, just a plain ol’ person.

I need to convert word documents from my work into pdf docs (as is our weird policy to have every document saved both in MS Word and PDF..)
Some people in work use Foxit but i really don’t like it – any other suggestions?

My PlayStation has worked fine for the 3 years I have owned it, but since today I have not been able to connect to the server of any game. The weird thing is that it is connected to the PlayStation Network and I even ran a connection test which says there are no problems.
My Dad also updated my home computer’s internet security today, this is the computer that the Wi-fi router and broadband my Ps3 uses are connected to, could this be part of the problem?

Right now I use Trend Titanium Antivirus+ software it’s okay but my subscription is ending in June and I want to get something else. Does anyone know about these AVAST FREE ANTIVIRUS & AVG ANTIVIRUS FREE. I read a few things on them but not really sure what is the best thing to go for. What about Norton does anyone out there can help me decide what to use please get back to me. Please be honest with me tell me the website to go to and why you pick that software it would be appreciate. Thank you.

My computer is basically naffed. I reset the BIOS and booted from CD, deleted my partition and when I install Vista, it just blue screens while it’s expanding files!
Why has it came to this? Here’s the long story before hand so you know what could be the problem
My brother bought a new computer and gave me his old one. His old was having ‘BIOS’ problems. The computer had XP at the time and it used to crash when you installed things like Chrome, change firewall settings, clicked on restore points,and blue screened also when you tried booting from CD etc. We managed to fix that apart from it still blue screened when booting from a CD.
As I managed to get on to the computer, I installed my Wireless Belkin Internet adapter, got all the latest updates and managed to boot Vista from a disc fine, deleted the partition, install Vista, Done. I had the same problem as before where it crashed when you installed Chrome, changed settings, clicked on restore points, tried installing Adobe Flash Player, etc. We fixed this by taking the CMOS battery out and resetting the BIOS by doing so.
We got all the latest Drivers with DriverFinder and after they were installed, I rebooted the computer and then after it was all done, a few errors, clicked off them etc. BLUE SCREEN. So we had to re-install a fresh copy of Vista again. No blue screens as BIOS was reset, but after doing windows updates, half through installing, you’d get a blue screen and the drivers would be corrupt. ‘DRIVER_IRQP_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL’. I’d get this when Windows loads up too, but we managed to get on it again but it just was corrupted. We managed to re-install another fresh copy of Vista, and then we installed Windows 7 off an external Hard-Drive. Windows 7 was working great! Then after doing windows updates, exact same problem again, but this time it made things worse. It would only load windows once in a while, can’t get on the computer long enough to do anything!
PROBLEM NOW
I decided I’ll install Vista again, fresh copy, as we don’t currently have the 7 CD at the moment. I deleted the partition so no corrupt drivers, etc. But when Windows is expanding files, blue screen! My computer now has a deleted partition so it can’t load to Windows and it won’t install Vista! What could be wrong?
SOLUTION?
Does the BIOS need updating? Can I do it without getting on to Windows? Re-setting the BIOS (taking CMOS battery in and out) fixes a lot of blue screen issues for me so I guess it’s a BIOS problem?

Asus A8N-SLI SE motherboard.
2GB of RAM
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200 + 2.21GHz
GeForce GTS 8600 256MB graphics card.
The RAM is not faulty has it is 2 brand new sticks of RAM, both the same type and in the right slots.
The graphics card ‘GeForce GTS 8600 256MB’ is fairly new. My brother was getting problems similar to this with whatever graphics card he had in it (tried different brands, etc.)
