I really want to go back onto the southbeach dieat again. I have done it once before and never felt better. MY skin cleared up, My hair was softer, my nails grew stronger. It helped with my mood swings and i had so much energy. I loved feeling like that and i followed the diet perfectly. The only problem i had with the diet is that i gained weight on it! 10 lbs to be exact. I’m really trying to drop weight but i want to go back on the diet. Should i try it again or not?

I am not a fan of ketogenic diets anymore because it has a tendency to make a person gain weight if they fall off the ketosis bandwagon. I like southbeach over Atkins because it focuses more on the fruit and veggie introduction at a reasonable time.
Need to get a lot of fibre in the program too. I haven’t met too many people who gained weight DURING the induction phase mind you.

I know what you mean about the improved physiology, like clear skin etc. These programs reduce inflammation in the body caused by excess carbs. Its a very interesting science.
