The Malwarebytes would be used just as an additional scanner at times. Also, I have a firewall from Comodo. Just trying to best protect my computer by these services and smart browsing of the internet.

MBAM is highly regarded as the best antispyware program by most, especially if you get the full version which offers real-time scanning and blocking of malicious websites. The free version is not a stopper though. It’s just a remover so you might still be infected by spyware before you know it. That’s why you need the full version.

It was even able to beat Norton, McAfee aside from the paid version of Panda, Avast and AVG.
I am not fan of freebies but I use MSE on my customer computers in lieu of a purchased one, and malwarbytes ,which I purchased , is about the only freebie software I would use on a PC. I have used Norton products since 2000, and it hasn’t failed me yet? Malwarebytes can be purchased or a gold coin donation? They are non profit so all the money raised goes into improving their product.
Yeah this sounds alright! Not a bad combo. I use Avira AntiVir Personal as my anti-virus, Malwarebytes AntiMalware and Spybot Search & Destroy as my other scanners and ZoneAlarm Free as my firewall.
Having just the normal anti-viruses is just not enough cause Malwarebytes can detect more things than a normal one.
I personally use Microsoft Security Essentials and I think that’s all I ever need. It is best antivirus known to me. It takes very less resources, it scans fast and its powerful. That’s what is needed for a good antivirus.
