I am trying to play Sims 2, it is already downloaded, and every time i try to load it to play I get a message that says “Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access the item.”.
I have searched all over trying to find a solution but nothing has worked.
I only have one user account on the computer (as administrator), if that makes a difference.
My Firewall is not on so its not blocking anything.
I don’t know where to go or what to do.
The computer i am using for it is Windows, and it does not have internet.
Any ideas?

never had that issue before. you could try reinstalling it. i would first try to run the game with the disk in the drive, then get into the game system foler in the programs folder and try changing the properties of the .exe (file that executes the game) to run it as administrator or maybe in compatability mode.
Maybe try accessing it through the start menu and then the programs folder.
Reinstall it or delete some stuff.
