Why I Have Problems With Firefox?

I Istalled Firefox and I was very happy, but later I get a window with the following:The connection is timed out,or check the firewall if is allowing Firefox proxy. What’s proxy and how I do that? I’m computer illiterate. Oh, by the way I check the firewall but can’t find Firefox in the list. It’s all words with a few letters and they don’t make sense. Please help me step by step?!!!     Proxy is just a computer system which takes your requests and provides the files you requested if it has those files else it will simply connect to the real server.
    For example if you want to download a song say onelove.mp3, when you click download button request goes to your nearest proxy computer, it it has onelove.mp3 it will send that song to your system, otherwise it will connect to original site which you have requested, this way you can download your song faster.
    Now coming to your problem, you don’t have to create any proxy and you cant
    .
    In your firefox goto Tools–>Options–>Advanced–>
    –>Network–>Settings
    I guess either
    –Manual Proxy Configuration or
    –Automatic proxy configuration URL: will be selected, if it is the case then select either
    –No proxy or
    –Auto detect proxy settings for this network.
    This should solve your problem. Reply if problem still persist..
