Hi,
im having a bit of trouble with my micro sd card from my windows htc fone, ive been using it fine until i plugged it into my computer via usb and windows has asked me to format before i can have access,,
is there a way to bypass this to simply backup my files then do a format. i have a data recovery software R-studio but dont want to 100% format it yet..

the problem here is that the phones idea of a format, and windows’s idea of a format are two seperate critters…try visiting the windows driver update site at http://www.windows.support.drivers.downloads, or try typing (without the quote marks)” windows micro sd card driver downloads” in the web browser of your choice, and choose a link to one of the many free downloads available…then in the device manager, select your device and un-install, then re-install the drivers…select show me a list of the available drivers, and then, when it shows “have disk”… enter the location of the driver you have downloaded and press enter…and viola!!! Windows will suddenly be able to read your cards!!!
