OK, Here’s the deal. I have a Acer netbook and an Airport extreme and several other laptops.
The netbook is running XP SP3 fully updated with the latest drivers and a fresh install.
No matter what I try with the network or the netbook, the netbook will not open any webpages.
It will see the network and connect to it (slowly) but it will get an ip address and everything.
I have tried many settings that I found online for this to work to no avail. Just a quick rundown of what I have tried. (turning MAC filtering off, turning security off and many more)
No matter what I try it gives the same result. This same netbook worked perfectly on an older Belkin wireless n router with the same WPA2 Security as the Airport Extreme. I also have three other laptops( 1 windows 7 laptop, 1 windows vista laptop, and a macbook pro. this doesn’t even count the iPhones and iPod touches that i have) All of these connect and work flawlessly.
What is going on? I really don’t understand.
Also, on a side note note, I set up an airport express with an independent network, just to test it, and it still wouldn’t open a webpage. I also returned my original extreme to best buy and got another one and set it up. again, everything else but the netbook worked perfectly. Also, I have tested the netbook on several other networks with WPA2, WPA, WEP, and others all working perfectly.
Please help, I’m starting to get desperate here.

update your wireless drivers
turn off all other wireless equipment except netbook and airport
rtfm for the airport and see hardware requirements you should have
What you should have done first:
Use Google. Ask the great Google if there are conflicts or known issues with airport and wireless card in Acer. i.e.:
airport extreme (model #, version, etc.) wireless card info (brand, model, etc.)
OR
airport extreme (model #, version, etc.) Acer Aspire One
If nothing, add the words PROBLEM, error, can’t, issue, etc. in the search and you should get some results.
or paste that info here and I’ll do it for you.
