I am not fat, actually i am pretty thin at 6ft and about 160 pounds. But i have been working in an office for 3 years and im starting to get a little “soft” especially around the middle.
I am going to start jogging again soon but for now its just biking to work and back.

At 160 pounds, you’ll burn between 400-600 calories biking for an hour and a half. As long as you don’t eat more calories than you burn, then yes, you’ll lose weight. Assuming you burn 1800 calories a day just working and living and add in the calories from your daily biking you’ll burn roughly 300-500 calories extra a day (if you eat around 2000) which computes to nearly a pound a week. Good luck and happy biking!
At ur height n weight, seems u dont have much FAT [not weight] to lose.
If u do, the biking should burn it off.
But be sure u get at least the 2nd generation saddle w/ deep grove in the center, and is wide enuf to support ur two “sit down bones” well.
Preferrably 3rd generation saddle which is two separate pads, one for each sit down bone.
Point is, make sure seat doesnt cause pressure on the area btwn ur sit down bones.
The pressure on that area damages blood vessles & nerves and can cause temporary or permanenet impotence in males, and also affects females.
And get a full-face motorcycle helmet. Bicycle “helmets” are grossly inadqeuate w/ no protection for face, forehead, jaw, etc.
Any kind of exercise is good for you. You should work on toning your stomach if you feel like its too soft. I’d suggest a Yoga or PIlates DVD at home. (& YES! It is for men too. My boyfriend loved the results he had from it.) It works wonderfully for toning your body and burning fat. Yoga is at a slower pace and PIlates gets your heart rate up and going. They both improve posture and are wonderful for your body.
Combined with decents nutrition? Of course!
Since u say youve gotten soft, do some crunches, planks and push ups, just to tone up.
Ummm, yeah, definitely.
Yes, most likely.
Yes it will its a great lower body workout
and no sweets or fats either..
